We are a 4th generation family farm, farming for over 150 years. Our 165-acre farm provides fresh produce, including lettuce, spinach, cabbage, super sweet corn, beets and herbs among many other products, to local and tri-state area markets. In the 90’s, we ventured into the cut flower business, creating beautiful, fresh bouquets daily. In 2003 we expanded into the retail business, opening a small roadside stand that has evolved into the Schmitt’s Farm Stand on Sound that you see today! 

We are open year round offering our own specialty products including our famous Holy Schmitt’s horseradish, jams and preserves, pickled beets, dressings, baked goods, and more. 

As soon as our plants mature, we will be offering pick-your-own for certain veggies and fruit. Fill your baskets with peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and more!

Our flower fields begin to bloom in the early summer where you can go out and walk among the different varieties to see the picture perfect blooms.

In the fall, we have fall decor and roast our super sweet corn, along with other fun fall activities including pumpkin picking and a corn maze. Our fall vegetables and home baked pies are available for your Thanksgiving dinners.  

Christmas trees and other winter decor are available from Black Friday through the new year.
